ABOUT US:

LA Vocal Studio is a new, interfaith Christian vocal studio founded by Linda Auziņa. Here music lovers of different ages from different countries, cities and congregations come to improve. The vision of the studio is a strong generation of worshipers and Christian vocalists who, through the sounds of music, bring the good news in this country and beyond. We believe that words have power, so the content of songs and music carries true, Christian and societal values. As the range of classes is constantly improved, you can also learn piano playing, learn in a certified solfeggio program and take stage movement classes in this studio. We hold individual lessons in Latvian, Russian and English - thus opening opportunities for foreign students and representatives of national minorities staying here in Latvia to achieve their goals.

KIDS (4-10 years old)

  • Vocal ensemble (group lesson) takes place twice a week. The main goal of this lesson is to develop the child's singing skills and cooperation in a group.
  • Rhythmics (group lesson)takes place twice a month. The main goal of this lesson is to help the child feel free, confident on stage, to develop a sense of rhythm.
  • By prior arrangement, we also offer vocal or piano lessons individually.

TEENAGERS & ADULTS (11+)

SINGING

  • For singers with little experience or no prior knowledge (as well as those who want to strengthen the basics), we offer a basic singing course (group lessons will take place once a week), in which you will gradually, step by step, be introduced to basic terms and aspects of vocal art.
  • For independent, everyday practicing singers with a lot of experience and those who like challenges, we offer VOCAL ADVANCED group lessons 1x a week - improvisation, vocal runs, harmonization, stylistics, etc.
  • Individual singing lessons take place once a week, in which the repertoire and direction of activity are adjusted according to the student's wishes and interests. In the singing lessons, increased attention is paid to the vocalist's breathing, the health of the vocal apparatus, the development of intonation, diction and many other technical aspects, and artistic performance. Students who choose this program will also have the opportunity to attend vocal group classes.

PIANO PLAYING

  • Piano playing - individual lessons 1x a week - personal approach to the student's wishes and interests, regardless of previous experience and level of preparation.

MUSIC THEORY

  • Music theory (solfeggio) is a group lesson that takes place once a week, and it purposefully acquires the subject matter in order to improve the knowledge, which students will then be able to apply independently. This is a 2-year course, upon completion of which the student will obtain a state-certified diploma, which can then be used in the labor market and CV. There are 2 courses in music theory - 1. with prior knowledge, 2. - without prior knowledge.

STAGE MOVEMENT

  • Stage movement is a group lesson that takes place once a week. In these classes you will work on releasing (to feel free in front of an audience and also in front of yourself), tearing down the frames in which we are placed. We will also work on your physical fitness, various rhythmic exercises will be practiced. It is recommended to dress sportily, freely.

THE KINGDOM MELODY

The ensemble ("The Kingdom Melody") is a group lesson where a cappella arrangements are made in collaboration with Christian churches and studio events. There are currently no open spots in the ensemble.

WORSHIP NIGHTS / MASTER CLASSES

On the 4th Friday of each month, students have the opportunity to gather together to worship God, praise, listen, and inspire each other. The master classes are taught by invited Christian music professionals, who will share practical advice on various topics relevant to singers and musicians. Details of each month’s worship night or master class will be posted on all social networks.

STUDENT NIGHTS

Student nights are held 3 times a year (winter, spring and summer). All are welcome -  relatives, friends, supporters and anyone who is interested. Admission is free for guests. The winter students' night is usually held in a festive mood, while in the summer - at the end of the season - a look back at the whole season. Nominations are also presented on winter and summer student evenings. Students (nominees) who receive them can study next month with a discount.
